The ‘Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation: Unfamiliar Landscape’ to be held at the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art in the spring of 2018 is the first large-scale exhibition of the French Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in China. The exhibition will feature a collection of iconic artworks from the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art.
This exhibition will feature more than 30 people from Raymond Depardon, Cai Guoqiang, Huang Yongzheng, Mœbius, Daido Moriyama, and Chéri Samba. Works by multiple artists. At the same time, the giant space of PSA will welcome the aircraft conceived and designed by Marc Newson, and a poetic giant installation floating in the heavens and the earth created by American artist Sarah Sze. During the opening of the exhibition, a series of special events will be ushered in, and there will be close interaction with the Chinese voyage of the French scientific sailing ship Tara, and its scientific literature will be exhibited as a special project.
As Fei Dawei, one of the curators, said: ‘Through this exhibition, the Cartier Foundation will reveal its operating model and artistic concept to the public. At the same time, the exhibition aims to stimulate the imagination and problem awareness of art, and present the art behind s story.’
